Pasta and Oysters, Tomorrow at Tournant

September 5, 2019

September

September is unabashedly our favorite month. It’s that magical time when warm days give way to crisp nights and juicy heirloom tomatoes share space at the farmers market with luscious figs and melons, spicy chiles and both summer and winter squash. Autumn is just around the corner and below are two ways to celebrate the bounty.

CROATIAN OPEN FIRE COOKING RETREAT
September 30 – October 4
Istria, Croatia

This one is very near and dear to our food/wine/travel/truffle/fire-loving hearts. Let us share with you our passion and expertise in the ancient craft of cooking with live fire in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

We love how fire holds the power to draw people in for warmth, connection, community, entertainment and sustenance. We’ve chosen Istria in Northern Croatia to teach our upcoming open fire cooking workshop because it is blessed with stunning natural beauty, rich history and incredible food and wine.

For the retreat, we’ll be staying at a gorgeous stone villa tucked into a peaceful hamlet. We’ll explore the countryside during the day and return to the villa in the evenings to gather around the ancient stone hearth. There, we will learn the foundations of seasonal cooking, combining flavors and transforming food from farm to fire.

We have been thoroughly captivated this region, it’s food, people and places. We’d be honored to share it with you. You can find more details about the retreat at the link below and we are ready to help answer any questions you might have about the itinerary, accommodations, travel and more.

We have just TWO SPOTS remaining and there is nothing we’d love more than to have you join us around the fire. So much so, that we’d like to offer a very special discount for the last two tickets to this once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you’re interested, please respond here for details.

Your fire friends,
Mona + Jaret
