We have been watching and hearing how our friends and colleagues in the industry are safely navigating this new world of socially distanced dining, and we are excited to finally offer you our version of Ox Outside.
We will be taking the back half of the Ox parking lot and turning it into an outdoor dining room for our guests to enjoy a selection of Ox classic dishes alongside some delicious new seasonal ones.
Each guest table will be housed under its own 10’ wide canopy tent and will be supplied with sanitizer, envelopes for masks, single-use menus, and a rubbish bin to easily dispose of the compostable dishware that we will be serving our food on in our effort to keep our service staff and kitchen staff (and you!) as safe as possible.
Our intention is to offer you a full-service Ox dining experience while making sure that guests and staff feel that we are taking all the correct steps to keep everyone safe. We are trading the comfort and air conditioning of our dining room for a more casual ambiance and rustic time outdoors, and we invite you to take this adventure with us.
Think of it as a fun backyard barbecue experience but with especially great food and drinks provided by one of your favorite restaurants in town.
Of course, as with any outdoor experience, there is always the risk that inclement weather may temporarily shut down the operation, and there is the added concern that at any point the state may elect to close down restaurants again. We ask for your patience and understanding in either circumstance if at any point reservations cannot be honored, and we will do all we can to help you reschedule.
There is no roadmap for how to run a restaurant during a pandemic, but we are confident in our new protocols and believe that we have a safe and thorough idea of how to operate. That said, we always appreciate feedback, and if you have some, please share with our team during or after your dining experience.
This outdoor adventure will be temporary, and we are currently taking reservations for the next couple of months. We hope that the weather allows us to continue serving you through the month of October. But when the rain forces us back indoors for the season, we must once again assess whether safely distanced indoor dining is a viable option at Ox. The truth is that we just don’t know if it will be.
The future is uncertain for us, so we hope that you get a chance to join us soon at our summertime parking lot pop up! We can’t wait to see you again!
Wednesday through Sunday
Reservation times start at 4:30pm each evening.
Please note that the current Phase One regulations prohibit guests from being on the property after 10:00pm.
We ask that you limit your dining time to two hours.
Walk-in diners may be accepted but availability is not guaranteed. Reservations are highly recommended.
Takeout will resume soon!
Access to our restrooms will be limited to one guest at a time for social distancing, with hand sanitizer available before entering and upon leaving. Out of respect to all guests and staff members, we are diligently observing and enforcing social distancing and masks while coming in, leaving, or standing up from your table. Please help us in this mission to keep us all safe. This is not something that we would have ever considered to be part of the restaurant experience. Please be cool. We just want to make life feel as normal as we possibly can for all. Thank you!
