As we head into the autumn season, we are excited to announce that Ox will now be open on Mondays and Tuesdays! With the cooler weather already upon us, we are here to welcome you into our cozy dining room every day of the week. Our seasonal dinner menu is full of local, fall produce with a wide array of delicious wines and cocktails to go along with it.
You’ll soon see some new additions to the menu, such as roasted butternut squash and hakurei turnips from Gathering Together Farm, served with spicy peanut & arbol chile crisp and Thai basil leaves. We’ll also be bringing back a favorite from last winter: flash-fried salt & vinegar Brussels sprouts with albacore tonnato sauce, red onion, and crispy capers. And speaking of albacore… with halibut season over, we are now bringing in some lovely line-caught albacore from Ilwaco, Washington. Roasted quickly over the coals, we serve the tuna rare with ponzu, olive oil, scallions, black sesame, crispy garlic & ginger, and fresh jalapeño. It’s bright, healthful, and so delicious!
New Albacore Dish
As the seasons change, we are also happy to welcome a new chef to the Ox family, Jeremy Wood! Chef Jeremy is a seasoned Ox veteran that has recently made his way back to the PNW with a keen eye for quality and a deep love for butchery and wood-fired cooking. Jeremy was most recently Chef at Dedalus in Stowe, Vermont. He had previously worked at Barbareno, in Santa Barbara, before working at Bistro Agnes and then as Sous Chef of Ox for over a year and a half.

As we welcome back Chef Jeremy, we bid a very fond farewell to Chef Ben Klein. We began working with Ben years before we opened Ox, at Gerard’s French Restaurant and then at Mala Ocean Tavern in Lahaina, Maui. To say it was a dream come true when our paths crossed again during the pandemic is an understatement. Ben has helped us navigate some of the most difficult times that Ox (and the restaurant industry) has ever seen. With true gratitude in our hearts, we thank you so much for all your work and your friendship, and we wish you all the best in your journey. Mahalo Nui Loa!
