We deeply regret to announce that Nostrana & Enoteca Nostrana have suspended regular service in response to the Coronavirus pandemic, effective Monday 3/16/20. Sunday evening (3/15) was our final service for a closure expected to last at least four weeks.
This was an incredibly difficult decision to make knowing the impact it will have on our staff, but closing our doors is the socially responsible thing to do for everyone — staff, guests and the community at large.
We are encouraging and helping all staff seek unemployment benefits, as it is impossible for us to operate in the current environment. We are continuing to evaluate the possibility of operating in some form of limited capacity, be it via delivery, take-out, or something more unconventional. Such measures would afford the ability to recall a small fraction of our nearly 100 employees in limited capacity.
This is a blow to all of us but Portland is a powerful community and we are confident when we say that we will band together and rise above this. The Portland hospitality community is an incredibly resilient group and we look forward to seeing you all on the other side. Until then, please be kind to one another, help your fellow neighbor, and share what you have. Thanks for your support, we look forward to brighter days ahead.
