Nodoguro reservations and Covid19 precautions

March 13, 2020

Hello

I hope you are all staying healthy and safe! As cases of COVID-19 are increasing and causing more alarm here in Portland, we have been considering the actions that we can take to create a safer environment for our guests and our staff members.

We would like to announce a couple temporary changes to our dinner service, but I also would like to make sure that our standard “reschedule-friendly” reservation policy is clear.

We are very grateful to our guests for making their reservations far in advance and we know that there are sometimes unforeseen circumstances, which make it impossible to attend your dinner date. In these cases, with notice, we are always happy to facilitate the rescheduling of your reservation for a future date. If you are ever feeling ill or anxious about attending the small gathering that is our dinner service, please let me know and I will be glad to help you reschedule your night with us for a future date.

Our dinners are set to begin at around 7pm every night, but we always open the doors at 6:30 for our guests to arrive leisurely and relax in our lounge until dinner begins. For the next month or so, we will open the doors at 6:50 and if you like, you can go to your directly designated seats while you wait for dinner to begin. The other temporary change is that if you would rather enjoy your dinner off-site, we would be glad to turn your dining experience into a take-away bento. If you could just send us an email 48 hours in advance, we can arrange to have your fancy bento ready for you to pick-up.

I would like to say that we will ramp up sanitation, but we already hold the cleanliness of our food and the safety of our guests as a top priority. A couple of fun facts I can share about our place is that we use an ozone generator to sanitize the space once we leave the building and we will continue to do this even after the threat of COVID-19 has dissipated. Also, Elena is making her Eleusis hand sanitizers for us from all-natural botanicals, but it does pack a 190 proof punch. If you want a spray or 2 when you come in let her know!!

Be Well and hope to see you soon!

Ryan
