Humble Asian hawker street food has made its way into the Portland food cart scene to
much acclaim for over a decade. This season, chef Surja Tjahaja will teach cooking classes that
draw inspiration from Portland restaurateurs who trace their roots to Thai, Vietnamese and
Korean street cart vendors. The good news is that these great tasting foods are easy to make and
serve in the comfort of your own home.
All cooking classes are held in the West Linn Adult Community Center. Registration cost is $40 for West Linn residents or $45 for non-residents plus a $10 materials fee. Register online at www.westlinnoregon.gov or call 503.557-4700.
