News From Canard: Valentine’s Day at the Bottle Shop

February 7, 2021

News From Canard: Valentine’s Day @ The Canard Bottle Shop

Love it or hate it (we understand), Valentine’s Day is around the corner. Canard is a one-stop shop for all your Valentine needs. Our Bird Boxes for the weekend have sold out (thank you!) but we will have takeaway pasta, and more! Pop into the shop for gifts including candles and ceramics from artist Hana Rucker (pictured above), beautiful cutting boards from Portland Woodstory, oils/vinegar, snacks, and as we’re a bottle shop after all, wines!

Andy Fortgang now has his very own bottle shop here at Canard. You can order wines ahead via our online shop to pick up or come in and see us (masked, of course). Get wine advice, discover new bottles, or pick up a bottle to pair with your take and bake lasagnas.

We’ve recently expanded our pasta offerings and add ons! Choose from three different take and bake pasta options, and add on a garlic toast and seasonal salad to make it a full meal.

  • Duck & Chanterelle Lasagna
  • Baked Clams and Shells
  • Mushroom, Ricotta & Kale Pesto Lasagna (vegetarian)

Remember, variety is the spice of life…we’ve added even more add ons including our new Antipasti Tray with prosciutto, spicy Calabrese salami, aged provolone, house-made giardiniera, tomato jam, blue cheese stuffed olives. Trust us, don’t skip dessert from pastry chef Sweet Matt. His take on the traditional dolce Italiano (I.e. Italian dessert) feeds all four.

The Canard Bottle Shop is open Wednesday through Saturday 12 through 6pm.

Note: with Valentine’s Day next weekend, we will not have a regularly scheduled Bird Box, however, check back next week!
