New video, wine, tie-dye & Jake Gyllenhaal

August 20, 2020

Hi there,

To keep our momentum going strong, we wanted to share three new ways you can support our fight to #SaveRestaurants.

1. SHARE OUR NEW VIDEO

Did you catch our video on @ChefsRoll yesterday? Sixteen members of our coalition came together to tell their community of 755,000 industry members a little more about the RESTAURANTS Act and encourage everyone to take action. Everyday we get word of more restaurants permanently closing. We need your help to make sure Congress hears our needs and helps #SaveRestaurants. Want to share, too? You can download the video for your feed here.

2. WEAR TIE-DYE WITH JAKE GYLLENHAAL

Actor Jake Gyllenhaal supports small businesses and he’s helped make it easy and fashionable for others to support them, too. “New York City will not be the same if our favorite restaurants go away,” and Jake’s local favorite is the iconic Russ & Daughters. “I can’t imagine our city without Russ & Daughters, just the same way countless small restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and distilleries across the country form the backbone of their own communities.”

If you’re able, support our movement by purchasing the new Russ & Daughters + Jake Gyllenhaal collaboration limited-edition tie-dye shirt. 100% of the proceeds go to the IRC. Get yours here.

3. DRINK WINE TO HELP SAVE RESTAURANTS

With a backlog of product that isn’t heading out the door to independent restaurants and bars, several of our favorite wineries have dedicated proceeds from select bottle and case sales to the IRC. Check out the links below to pick up a bottle (or a case) in support of our cause.

  • Enfield – 2018 Citrine Chardonnay
  • Hudson – 2019 White Study
  • Amliere x Argaux – The Giveback Kit; includes 2016 Défi Chardonnay, 2017 Défi Cabernet, and 2019 Défi Pinot Noir
  • Holus Bolus – 2016 Hocus Pocus Syrah

Thank you for your support,

The IRC Team

P.S. Do you know a restaurant that has closed permanently? Share the story here.
