2017 Division-Villages Wines are here!
It’s official: 2017 Division-Villages and Spring wines are in bottle and ready for you!
Chances are, if you’re reading this newsletter, you’re already familiar these fresh, juicy, acid-driven, food friendly and delicious wines that show the jubilant, whimsical and creative side of who we are.
As much as we enjoy guzzling them ourselves, the real magic is in sharing our Spring bounty with you: So be sure to join us at our annual SPRING RELEASE PARTY on Saturday, March 31st to get the first access to these wines (more details below).
We are extremely pleased with what the 2017 vintage has brought us so far. Our two whites: Sauvignon Blanc “La Frontière” and Chenin Blanc “l’Isle Verte” are show stoppers (it’s only our second vintage of Sauvignon, giving us much excitement for what’s to come for future vintages too!)
These two wines showcase our penchant for balance: amazing acidity without sacrificing of texture or the natural ripeness of the growing season.
We’re equally excited with our Spring reds, and we think for 2017 our signature Villages wine, the Loire Valley style blend “Béton,” will be a true standard bearer for the release. By slightly increasing in the percentages of peppery, spicy, grapes (the Cabernet Franc and Côt, we’ve blended a zesty, savory, mineral-driven Béton with low alcohol (12.6%) and high glouglou factor.
Our “Les Petits Fers” Gamay Noir for this release is pure joy: Strawberry juicy crunch in a bottle – you won’t be disappointed if you love this grape variety as much as we do (or are looking to get into it!)
Last, but certainly not least, we harvested some exceptional fruit for the 2017 Gamay Rosé “l’Avoiron.” Spring is around the corner, and with the warmer weather is fast approaching we only hope we’ve made enough of our of pound-able, utterly crowd-pleasing Rosé for everyone to enjoy!
Get pumped – these wines will be available very soon and we look forward to sharing them with you.
We also can’t wait to see many of your smiling faces on the road in the coming months as we visit all our amazing markets across the country, and globe – we simply couldn’t do what we do without YOU!
With wine love,
Kate & Tom

Spring Release Party + Wine Club Pick up in PDX: March 31 / 2-4pm
In our last newsletter, we asked our Portland friends to save the date of April 7th to celebrate with us. However, that date has changed, and we’ll now be popping corks on
Saturday March 31st from 2-4pm at the Southeast Wine Collective.
Please join us as we celebrate the Spring release wine and some 3 year aged, Portland made (Serrano-style) cured ham.
Just a note that this will be your first access to the new Spring wines unless you are a current Wine Club member or sign up for one of the Wine clubs this week! Join one of our amazing Clubs NOW!
We look forward to seeing you then and there!
Meanwhile, back at the ranch…,
We’ve been knee deep on the bottling line (Plus kegging and of course MAGNUMS!)
Despite the un-ignorable fact that it is tons of work and always give us the nervous tingles, Spring bottling is one of our favorite times of year.
These long days of intense work at the winery — often joined by quite a few friends lending a hand — mean that part of our endeavors and love from the previous year is about to come to fruition and into your glasses.
