In The Cellar With Pam
This month I put the 2014 Jezebel pinot noir together and in the bottle: 2950 cases, the largest production for that wine so far! The name Jezebel was given to our second label over a sushi lunch in 2003. Aron and Peter Rosback (our original partner in the venture) were trying to think up a name for our new project. Deciding that the wine should be really “slutty”, they settled on the name Jezebel as an appropriate descriptor for a wine that is intended to be lush, fruit forward, smooth and highly quaffable. The 2014 Jezebel Pinot Noir is particularly slutty. It’s definitely “Oregon” and it’s Pinot, but it’s pinot in a push-up bra, with a friendly smile. It will be released in mid July, $19/bottle
