New Case of the Month, Silver Medal Cider and More!
The Weekly What’s Up!
December is here and it is beautiful…so far. I will take these beautiful days while they are here, as I know they will not last. We’ve got a new Case of the Month (see below) and a ton of new brews coming in. We are currently working on some Christmas and New Years Eve wine pairings, so stay tuned for those. Champagnes are rolling in and you are worth it, so why not just grab one today and celebrate you. That’s the only reason you need for a bottle of good Champagne. Until next time, cheers!
Meatballs on Special!
We are happy to say that our meatball sub and plate return for the weekend! That’s right, our delicious house made meatballs are returning for a limited time. Tossed in our house marinara and covered with melted provolone cheese. You can grab yourself a sub or skip the bread and have it on a plate. Either way you will thank yourself. Limited run, so do not hesitate.
Kevin also just finished a batch of his house made chicken and wild rice soup. Cozy up on the couch with this heart warming soup for a perfect evening.
December Case of the Month
This month we are featuring a nice mix of Old World whites and reds that are nice to enjoy in cooler weather, and also a handful of wines from Oregon and Washington that have become neighborhood favorites over the last year. Of particular note is a French ‘Savagnin’ white from the Jura region that is absolutely spectacular, and a surprisingly tasty Pinot Blanc from David Hill winery here in Oregon. There’s a little something for all wine palettes- Cheers!
This month’s case comes in at $205, a savings of over $50!! Be sure so check out all the details on our blog here. Hope you enjoy!
Congrats!! Son of Man’s Sagardo took the silver medal at a Basque tasting in San Sebastian. That’s a huge feat and we are super stoked for them. They beat out over 20 Spanish ciders to take the silver. This is a first and they deserve all the props. This cider is awesome. Naturally fermented with just the right amount of funk. Tart and bright on the palate with a clean, dry finish. This is the perfect time of year for this cider.
Block 15 Winter Ale’s
Block 15 just dropped a ton of beers at the shop. We not only received our usual Sticky Hands, we got in some of their highly anticipated Winter Ales. The Fresh Pow is an annual favorite with just the right amount of malt. Still a really bright, hopped IPA, this beer is amazing. They also dropped this crazy good Double IPA with citrus and spruce tips. It comes in at 9% ABV, but you wouldn’t really know it. It is well done and both the citrus and spruce tips are there without knocking you in the face. Well done Block 15! These are both great releases. We thank you.
