ABOUT THE EVENT

We welcome members and guests to join us for this unique spirits and cocktail education with Stone Barn founder, Sebastian Degens. Degens will share the story of their distillery and take you through a special flight of Stone Barn products. Guests will have the chance to try a variety of spirits and liqueurs, as well as MWL’s Stone Barn Single Barrel Rye Whiskey!

The presentation will be followed by a cocktail class, with MWL veteran bartenders guiding guests through an original Stone Barn stirred cocktail. Cocktails will be accompanied by light bites from MWL chef, Robert Kelly. Given the nature of the event all seating will be communal.

We are continuing to follow safety guidelines and ask all attendees to provide proof of vaccination with a valid ID at check in.

We look forward to hosting you!

ABOUT STONE BARN BRANDY WORKS

Founded by Erika and Sebastian Degens (photographed to the left), Stone Barn Brandy Works is the product of their lifelong appreciation of  the remarkable bounty of the Pacific Northwest. Their greist-style liqueurs (greist being the German translation for ghost) get their name from the way they preserve the elegant soul—the ghost—of the fruit. Depending on the time
of year you visit Stone Barn, you could come across a rhubarb, quince, or star crimson pear liqueur. Their head distiller, Andy Garrison, continues to push the envelope in distillation, exploring various grains, infusions, and barrel finishes. Stone Barn was recently listed in Willamette Weekly’s 25 Things To Love About Portland, following the release of their Ramen Whiskey that utilizes Umi Organic’s frozen batches of ramen. The possibilities, flavors, and inspiration are endless at this distillery, and we can’t wait to share them with you!
