ABOUT THE DINNER

The Multnomah Whiskey Library is honored to be part of the growing food and beverage industry in Portland. Through the last two years we have weathered uncertain times, but as we turn a new leaf we are excited to collaborate with other bartenders, chefs, and purveyors to celebrate our community. With that, the Library is pleased to announce our very first collaborative pairing dinner with Flying Fish Company!

Flying Fish is a retail fish market, oyster bar, and restaurant in Portland, Oregon. They have made it their mission to promote and protect sustainable sources for seafood through community engagement and education. By cultivating lasting relationships with sustainable fishermen and eco-conscience producers in the Northwest, Flying Fish has become part of a larger network within aquacultural operations, with ecological preservation at its heart.

Join us for a unique and refreshing dining experience, designed by Flying Fish’s executive chef, Erik Englund. Englund will be taking over the MWL kitchen and producing a five part dinner, each course complimented by a unique oyster pairing from their chef Trever Gilbert. MWL alumni and Flying Fish bar manager, Ross Richardson, will lead the event, collaborating with MWL experts Kyle Sanders and Cody Mulcahy to select exciting spirit pairings for each course.

Seating will be assigned, with a blend of communal and private tables available upon request. We are actively monitoring developments of Covid-19 and continue to prioritize public safety, so we politely request all guests attending to provide proof of vaccination at check in.

We look forward to seeing you then!

Sincerely,
Your Friends at the Library
