Morgan St. Theater is collaborating with local artists for two evenings of dessert theatre.
PORTLAND, Ore. – March 2 & 16 2015 – Morgan St Theater is returning to the classics – imagining their demise and celebrating their rebirth. Our menu will bring classic ice cream desserts back to life with seasonal flavor and messianic flair! On March 2, local theatre ensemble Hand2Mouth will perform scenes from their upcoming work, Psychic Utopia. This new work of Hand2Mouth is itself, inspired by the rise and fall of the Rajneesh spiritual movement that settled in Central Oregon during the 1980s. Then on March 16, we host Rick Huddle, an actor, educator, and storyteller. He is a Moth Story Slam winner and teller at the National Storytelling Festival – Exchange Place. In addition to this high quality entertainment, we also pair each course with a tea from Jasmine Pearl Tea company. Tickets now include dessert, tea pairings, entertainment and gratuity.
Morgan St. Theater is a pop-up dessert club specializing in ice cream and its infinite possibilities. Monthly menus are inspired by a creative theme and seasonal flavors and served up with stories. Jared Goodman, Morgan St. Theater’s creator, is a self-taught ice cream aficionado who makes all the desserts from scratch, sourcing from local farmers whenever possible.
