More Good Day Oregon Hops into Bunny Bar at Bar Miranda

April 9, 2019

Airing on KPTV’s More Good Day Oregon. Channel 12. 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2019

KPTV’s Molly Riehl came to visit the cocktail pop-up, Bunny Bar, on location at Bar Miranda. The segment features both Bunny Bar and Bar Miranda. It will air on Wednesday, April 10, on More Good Day Oregon between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. If you miss it, you can check it out after 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at www.kptv.com/MoreGDO.

Bunny Bar, a playful cocktail concept from the creative culinary agency, JCPlaysWithFood, is held at and delivered by the Bar Miranda team. This cocktail pop-up showcases three spring-y drinks; “Bird Bath” with Aria gin, blue curacao, and topped with a take-home rubber ducky, “Rabbit Food” made with elderflower, vermouth, carrot juice, and absinthe, and “The Cottontail” created with cachaca, rose, and campari, and finished with a cotton candy garnish.

Malia Myers and Melaney Schmidt, the creative owners behind Public Provisions and Bar Miranda named their bar after the talented and flamboyant singer Carmen Miranda. Myers and Schmidt’s goal of bringing tropical drinks to Portland was first realized back in the summer of 2018. Located in the Portland Food Hall, Bar Miranda offers guests a light, joyful space with delicious drinks including beer, boutique wines, cider, and local spirits. Cocktails such as the refreshing Brazilian Caipirinha and Miranda’s Mojito are always available. Serving two South American menus, food is provided by LeChon and includes a refreshing vegan ceviche.

JCPlaysWithFood is a division of Powerhouse PDX, Inc. The agency’s founder/owner, Joy Church, is thankful to Molly Riehl of KPTV’s More Good Day Oregon. “I am ecstatic that Molly chose Bunny Bar and Bar Miranda for More Good Day Oregon. It’s a real honor to share my cocktail concept to a large, Oregon audience. And, Bar Miranda is such hidden gem in downtown Portland, KPTV viewers are going to be excited to learn about this great space.”

Inside the Portland Food Hall on the mezzanine level, 827 SW 2nd Avenue, Portland, Oregon. Bar Miranda is open year-round, Wed-Sat, 4:00 to 9:00 p.m.
