More Gift Packs, Winter Brews and More from Portland Bottle Shop!

December 17, 2021

The Weekly What’s Up!

Wow, it is hard to believe we are coming to the end of 2021. I don’t know about you, but this year has flown by. Next thing you know we’ll have another day like the picture below. :) In the meantime, be sure to swing by for all your holiday beverages. We’ve got amazing Champagnes in the house and, of course, a giant array of beers to choose from.

Please note, we will be closing early this Saturday, December 18 for a private event. So if you are looking for something for that evening, come by earlier in the day. Thanks and hope to see you soon.

From the Kitchen

With Christmas landing next week, lots of folks are doing a lot of running around. During these busy times, don’t forget to enjoy and take a little time for yourself. Instead of spending time over the stove all weekend, come by for some of Kevin’s famous soups. We’ve got his Split Pea on and the White Bean and Ham to keep you fed and feeling good. And don’t forget about his incredible Lamb Burger special. Topped with romesco, Havarti, red onion and arugula. Super hearty and super tasty. See you soon.

New Year’s Eve Pack?

We are calling this our New Year’s Eve pack, but really this is an everyday kind of pack. You get yourself an amazing bottle of Champagne from Chartogne Taillet. Young Alexandre Chartogne is one of our favorite producers. He studied under the genius Selosse before venturing out on his own and his Champagne is amazing. The other bottle you’ll receive is from right here in our backyard, Beaux Freres Les Cousins Pinot Noir. This rare second label of Beaux Freres is as expressive as any other wine in their portfolio. Bold, layered and silky on the palate. Amazing and at an amazing price. By purchasing the combo, you’ll save yourself $11. Then you can grab yourself a nice glass of wine while picking them up and it’s sort of free. Right? Grab this pack for whatever reason you’d like…New Years Eve, Christmas, it’s Thursday. Whatever day it is, you will thank yourself. And you deserve it! Enjoy.

More Winter Brews!

We’ve got some new arrivals!! First is Jim Parker’s Holiday Ale. While Jim may have left this earth a few years ago, he is still strong in the Portland craft beer scene. This wonderful Holiday Ale, is just that, wonderful. The perfect balance of malt and hops with a nice little 8.5% kick. Imaginary Friends, from Everybody’s Brewing, will be sure to thrill also. Rich and super drinkable, this brew will keep you warm through the chilly nights. This one comes in at 7.1% ABV, so don’t underestimate it.
