Mediterranean Salad Returns and Seminar Preview at Portland Bottle Shop!
The Weekly What’s Up for 4.9.22!
Spring has arrived and the flowers are beginning to pop. I love the transitions of the seasons. All the breweries are putting out their spring releases, including Block 15 (see below). Come check out what has landed recently, you are sure to find something new and delicious. We’ve recently switched up our wines by the glass too. I might even say this lineup of white wines is one of the best. Every single wine on the list is a knockout. Be sure to try through them before we shake things up again. Hope ya’ll are enjoying this spring so far and look forward to seeing all your smiling faces. Cheers!
Return of the Mediterranean Salad!
This salad has been one of the most requested specials we’ve had recently. Kevin’s Mediterranean Salad is hearty and oh so delicious. He starts with a bed of mixed greens and combines red onion, roasted red peppers, garbanzo beans, kalamata olives, chèvre and couscous then tosses it all in a light basil vinaigrette before topping it with grilled prawns. The flavor combination is absolutely wonderful. This is a must-have for your next visit to the Bottle Shop.
Willamette Valley Seminar!!
Mark your calendars. As our world has opened up, yet again, we are very happy to announce that we will be having a wine seminar, Sunday, May 1, on the Willamette Valley AVAs. We’ve got a veteran of the Oregon wine world joining us, who will be walking you through the AVAs of Oregon as you taste your way around the valley. There will be more details in next week’s email including how to sign up so stay tuned. This is going to be a fun one!
Block 15’s Emerging Sunshine is the perfect spring brew. This annual release comes as we transition from the gray days of winter to the longer days of spring. Full of bright citrus and mango, this tasty beer pairs perfectly with spring. It is as refreshing as the sun with an ABV of 6.75% for the chilly evenings. Get this one while it’s here or you’ll have to wait through another winter for it. Cheers!
