At Saké Fest PDX, you can pair saké from around the globe with food made by local chefs
PORTLAND, Ore. – April 24, 2018 – Saké Fest PDX will again take place at the Oregon Convention Center and this year promises to be the best one yet, with almost forty saké producers plus 15 local chefs and food purveyors. Mark your calendar for the return of Saké Fest PDX on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.
“Saké isn’t just from Japan and the food pairing possibilities are endless. At Saké Fest PDX, you get the opportunity to try saké brewed all over America and Japan in one place and experiment with local food outside-the-bento-box. The price is well worth the return,” says Jessie Sheeran with SakéOne.
Davvy Lee with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits adds, “Saké Fest PDX is one of the best food and beverage festivals in town, some say the nation! People should come to discover how amazing saké is– it’s all about learning and having fun.”
Similar in profile to wine, saké is valued for its fragrance, impact, sweet or dry finish, acidity, presence and complexity. This year’s event offers over 180 different samples of US and Japanese-made saké, beer and spirits, more than ever before.
