Life can be hectic and no matter what you still need to eat. Sometimes you just want to toss something together that’s fast. I mean like 10 min fast and if you can boil water this is a breeze. This recipe is perfect for us, after cooking all day the last thing we wanna do is be in the kitchen all night after work.
Spicy Peanut / Sesame Noodles
Cook Time: 10 mins
Serving Size: 2 people
Noodles of your choice
Sesame Paste or Peanut Butter
Dark Soy (optional it’s mostly for color)
Our Chili Crisp but any nice chili oil will work
Sesame oil (optional)
Any Noodles you have on hand will work. I used a fusilli type noodle, I thought I had udon, oh well. Start heating up the water. While the water heats up, make sauce.
3-4 TBSP Sesame Paste or Peanut Butter
2 TBSP Soy Sauce
1 TSP Dark Soy (optional)
2 TBSP of Chili Crisp- I usually add more. I like it spicy!
1/2 -1 TBSP Rice Vinegar
1 ½ TSP of sugar (optional)
3 TBSP water
Put everything in a bowl and mix well and adjust to taste. Set aside.
Cook noodles per directions. Once noodles are done drain but save some water, you make want to loosen sauce.
Mix noodles immediately with sauce. You can add a bit more water depending on your desired
Finish with chopped scallions, sesame seeds and drizzle of sesame oil. You’ll want to eat immediately it gets weird if it gets cold.
You can always add protein to this but its nice as it is.
