This Saturday we’re excited to welcome Kiyokawa Orchards back to the market. Cherry season was a bit delayed this year due to our inclement spring. While they will have some pie cherries, they are extremely limited, so preorders are best. We suggest placing an order by emailing directly to firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday at 6pm. Make sure to check out their fresh eating varieties as well!
We consider Marionberries to be one of the quintessential berries of Oregon! Their season is short but literally sweet so make plans to get some from our grower’s stalls this Saturday. You can find these delightful berries at Albeke Farms, RJ Farms, Tara Farms and Pheasant’s Eye Farm. They freeze beautifully and in our humble opinion, the best variety for pie! (FYI: South Barlow Berries is off this week).
We appreciate how resilient our market community has been with the coming and going of vendors due to staffing issues and COVID. It’s been another challenging year and our vendors have been working tirelessly to get their product to market. Sadly, it doesn’t always work out, despite their best efforts. This week will be Tabor Bread’s last market with us due to lack of staffing. We hope to see their return this winter but, in the meantime, please support them by stocking up this Saturday and fill your freezer. You can also visit their brick-and-mortar location in the Mt. Tabor area if you fancy a field trip for their amazing breads and pastries. We are so thankful and appreciative for all of the delicious baked goods Tabor Bread has faithfully provided.
Looking for a vendor in the market? Curious what dates they will be here? Stop by our InformationBooth. We have all the scheduled dates for each of our vendors to help you plan accordingly. We know it can be frustrating to get to market, look for a vendor and discover they’re off for the weekend or attending another event. We hope this will help you know when to expect them.
This Saturday we are hosting our Local Libations event where several of our local distilleries, brewers and vintners come together at our market and share samples and bottle sales with our customers. It’s a great opportunity to try new releases and varieties of your favorite beverages. And, if you prefer nonalcoholic, we have you covered. Golden Age Kombucha and Hibisbloom are back with refreshing flavors on tap, canned, bottled or in growlers!
We have a beautiful forecast; 65 vendors and live music. Ed with Divine Mini Donuts is back with fresh donuts to kick off your morning. Our POP kids will have a farm bingo activity available plus 3.00 in tokens to spend on fruits and vegetables! Don’t forget our 20.00 SNAP match for EBT recipients, too!
It’s going to be a wonderful day and we can’t wait to share it with you.
As always, you can find us at 2051 Kaen Rd (at the corner of Kaen and Beavercreek Roads) in Oregon City from 9am-2pm every Saturday.
See you at the market!
It’s always fun when a group of Oregon’s local distillers, brewers and vintners come together and share the fruits of their labor with our community. From crisp ciders and pre-mixed cocktails to Pinot Gris and hoppy beers, our talented makers use locally grown ingredients, capturing the essence of Oregon’s bountiful agriculture in each bottle they produce.
This week we’re excited to welcome a robust line-up of Oregon’s makers and businesses that celebrate our region, including our market’s Kombucha vendor, Golden Age and Hibisbloom, crafters of Hibiscus based mixers.
Samples will be available and of course, plenty for purchase. We hope you will enjoy a unique aspect of our market this week.
