Lil’ Shalom Soft Opening This Wednesday, June 30th

June 28, 2021

Chefs Kasey Mills, Patrick Lynch and the Sesame Collective team open a new Mediterranean concept, featuring a casual and fun menu with food and drinks made to celebrate the moment.

PORTLAND, Ore. (June 28, 2021) – Lil’ Shalom, the newest restaurant from the Sesame Collective restaurant group, will open softly on Wednesday, June 30th with a grand opening slated for Wednesday, July 7th. The former Shalom Y’all Street Food location is breaking out and forging an identity of its own, with a unique, more casual menu full of playful inspiration, from corn “ribs” to the handheld “Lil’ Shalomies” burger. Lil’ Shalom will be a place to live in the moment, focused on quick bites, to either takeout or enjoy in the bright and lively new space or an outdoor courtyard. For guests in a rush there will be a grab and go case with items like fresh salads and items from the Sesame Collective’s line of packaged snacks and dips, Sesame Staples. The space itself will feature a European-inspired standing bar to stop by for a quick refresh day or night. For fans of Shalom Y’all, the SE location will remain the same place to celebrate and enjoy beloved dishes.

Lil’ Shalom will be open for lunch and dinner daily, from 12pm – 8pm.  Enjoy a meal in their outdoor courtyard or just stop by and pick up grab and go selections from the deli case. More information about Lil’ Shalom can be found by visiting: https://www.lilshalom.com/

The Lil’ Shalom beverage menu will include healthy daytime beverages, Turkish coffee, transitioning to night with low proof, no proof, and full proof cocktails, Tahini milkshakes, and more. The food menu was developed by the Sesame Collective culinary team, and will be led by chef de cuisine Patrick Lynch. After extensive research, travels, and inspiration from big sister Shalom Y’all, the Lil’ Shalom menu will serve as a casual daytime place to pick up lunch on the go, or stop in for a full service meal. The grab and go case will be a quick option for those on the go. A place to fuel up ahead of summertime events, picnics, hikes, and anything else in the great Oregon outdoors. Moving into the evenings, Lil’ Shalom will offer full service indoor and patio dining, take out and delivery. In the future, the restaurant will launch family meals. More on the menu below:
