Le Haut Barry/McBeth Vineyards/Portland Beer & Cheese Fest Tickets

June 13, 2019

Le Haut Barry Cheese

Le Haut Barry is one of our favorite sheep’s milk cheeses. It is made by Les Bergers du Larzac, a cooperative made up of 20 producers. They are located in the department of Aveyron, which is found in the Massif-Central of southern France. This region is known for its limestone plateaus and sheep’s milk production. Le Haut Barry is a cooked, pressed tomme made from raw sheep’s milk. The natural rind is grey-brown with a dusting of bright yellow blooms. The ivory paste is smooth and toothsome. Notes of toasted hazelnuts and caramel are present. This lovely cheese is the perfect snack during this hot weather!

McBeth Vineyards Wine Tasting

Thursday, June 13th 2019
5:30-7:30

This week’s wine tasting is being hosted by McBeth Vineyards. McBeth Vineyards is a family owned and operated winery located just outside of Eugene, Oregon. In 2003 McBeth Vineyards was planted exclusively with Pinot Noir grapes. Owner, Nancy Cooley, will be pouring their 2015 Farmhouse Pinot Noir and Tulipan, their first vintage of their Pinot Noir rosé. We’re excited to share these lovely examples of Oregon Pinot with you this week!

As usual, the tasting is complimentary! We hope to see you there!
