All You Need is Love…and Treats!

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and we have a few special treats planned for this magical holiday. (Who doesn’t love a day dedicated to love and sugar?!)

We’re making a special Mini Cakes For Two, available in Red Velvet or Chocolate Devil’s Food Cake. These petite cakes ($15.00) are the perfect Valentine’s dessert, and are just the right size for two. You can order one to take home to your sweetie, or bring your special someone into Lauretta Jean’s and enjoy a cake together. Our Division shop will be open until 11pm on Valentine’s Day! So bring in your sweetie, sip some bubbly, and get cozy between bites. (We’ll have cakes available to purchase from the case, but we encourage pre-orders to ensure you get what you want!)

For the week leading up to Valentine’s Day, we’ll be making our infamous tart cherry pies with a heart shaped top. And, we’ll have a whole bunch of adorable heart shaped sugar cookies, too.

We’ll have all the sweet treats you need to celebrate all the loves in your life. (And since Valentine’s Day is on a Tuesday this year, both Downtown and Division will be open!)

Pot Pie Fridays!

OMG. Friday’s just got even more awesome because we now have POT PIES ON FRIDAYS.

Yep, you read that right. Every Friday we’ll have a rotating selection of cozy and delicious pot pies. We’ll have everything from classic chicken pot pie to a spicy pork verde pot pie and a vegetarian broccoli and potato pot pie (and more!). Essentially, we are taking all of your favorite winter comfort foods and we are enveloping them in a warm and buttery herb pie crust.

IT LITERALLY DOESN’T GET BETTER THAN THIS.

So, come one and all. Eat pot pies with us on Fridays.

Gravlax!

It’s a new year, folks, and we’re makin all sorts of delicious new things around here. For instance, we started making our own gravlax (aka cured salmon).

Try our new gravlax on a biscuit Benedict, or try it on a biscuit with cream cheese and capers. Either way, you can’t lose. Biscuits and salmon are a winning combination.

 

Pie of the Month: Lemon Chiffon

Citrus pies are our favorite during the cold winter months, as they add a little sunshine to our lives.

That said, our Meyer Lemon Chiffon pie will cure all your winter blues. The chiffon is made with lemon curd and whipped cream and it has such a light and lovely texture. And the Meyer lemons bring the perfect balance of sweet and sour.

Run, don’t walk, and get yourself a slice of sunshine!
