La Ruta PDX Presents
PASCAL SAUTON & JOHN GORHAM
a benefit dinner for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Chef Pascal Sauton returns from France to present a multi-course French and Moroccan inspired dinner with Toro Bravo chef John Gorham and PLAZA DEL TORO chef Michael Kessler.
$195 all-inclusive experience includes dinner, wine pairing and gratuity.
Join us from 10pm to midnight as we open the bar to the public to toast Pascal. $10 after party cover benefits LLS. Full bar and wine list available for purchase.
Pascal is a longtime friend of the Portland community as the restauranteur behind Carafe former staples Carafe Bistro and Milwaukie Kitchen & Wine. On his last culinary visit to Portland he won PLAZA DEL TORO’s Versus competitive dinner against St. Jack chef Aaron Barnett — by a single vote!
Pascal has been close friends with John and Renee Gorham for years and even officiated their wedding. In 2009, Pascal introduced John Gorham to the Team in Training program, a nationwide initiative of endurance events that raise money and awareness for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). John completed his first triathlon. In his Toro Bravo cookbook/memoir Stories. Recipes. No Bull, Gorham said, “[LLS is] a cause that was especially important to me because I’d lost Granddad Gordon to cancer.”
Proceeds from this event benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, working to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
