Kids Cook Classes are Back at King and Lents Farmers Market!

Kids Cook at the Market is a summertime program that gives junior chefs ages 7 to 12 the opportunity to learn about the seasonality of food, meet local farmers, and prepare ingredients purchased fresh from the market. Here are the details below:
Kids Cook- Lents Farmers Market- Sundays 10am to 11am
Where: SE 92nd and Reedway between Foster and Harold, Portland
Tickets: We have a grant supporting the Lents International Farmers Market that allows us to provide these classes to the community for free, though registration is required. Please RSVP at Lents Kids Cook
  • Sunday, July 7: Quick Strawberry Jam on Pancakes
  • Sunday, July 14: Smiley Face Veggie Omelettes
  • Sunday, July 21: Vegetable Fritters
  • Sunday, July 28: Hand Pressed Tortillas = Veggie Tacos!
  • Sunday, August 4: Summer Salad
  • Sunday, August 11: Caterpillar Kabobs
  • Sunday, August 18: Fruit and Tomato Salsas
  • Sunday, August 25: Gazpacho

-All classes will have a gluten free and dairy free option.
-Classes last approximately 60 minutes.

Kids Cook- King Farmers Market- Sundays 10am to 11am
Where:NE 7th and NE Wygant, Portland
Tickets: Tickets are $10 per child, per class ($5 per child for SNAP recipients). Register at King Kids Cook

-Tickets are nonrefundable but you may transfer your registration to another family.
-All classes will have a gluten free and dairy free option.
-Classes last approximately 60 minutes.
