Kachka’s Eastern European grocery welcomes guests inside to shop again, and introduces a new menu to enjoy on outdoor tables, or at home.
PORTLAND, OR (April 9, 2021) – For the first time in over a year, guests are welcomed back into Kachka Lavka, one party at a time, for shopping and dining. The beautiful old-world-style market is brimming with imported grocery items and Kachka’s own breads, charcuterie, cured fish and merchandise. Chef Bonnie Morales and her team have also created a new all day café menu (below) which can be taken to go, or enjoyed on one of five new outdoor tables outside of Kachka Lavka. Kachka’s house vodka infusions, beer, wine, kvas and myriad non-alcoholic European refreshments will be available to enjoy with the menu, as well as tea and Courier Coffee in the morning with freshly baked piroshki.
“We always wanted Lavka to be the kind of place you could pop in on your way to work for a fresh pirozhok and hot tea, or spend an afternoon with a friend, sharing a bottle of wine and snacks,” says co-owner Bonnie Morales. “We’re finally getting to a place where we can offer Kachka’s hospitality in a safe, casual setting, and are so excited to see our guests again.”
