Jupiter Hotel and NEXT Doors Still Open + Takeout Options, Online Stores & More

April 16, 2020

Jupiter Hotel Steps Up, Partners with Multnomah County to Provide Temporary Shelter at Hotel

Jupiter Hotel has partnered with Multnomah County and the Joint Office of Homeless Services, making rooms available as part of an emergency push to support the County’s shelter system and protect medically vulnerable community members.

For the whole scoop, check out this article in the Portland Mercury.

If you live in the Portland area and want to get involved in Multnomah County’s COVID-19 Response, volunteers can sign up here.

During this time, Jupiter NEXT, a separate building next door on S.E. 9th Avenue and E. Burnside Street, will remain open to the public. Preventative sanitation measures are in place to meet and exceed U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines to ensure the safety of hotel guests, staff, and all other visitors.

For more information about booking a room at Jupiter NEXT and further information on both hotel properties, as well as updates regarding current events, please visit jupiterhotel.com.

We are MISSING our friends at Hey Love, so we asked Beverage Director Emily Mistell for her quarantine cure with ingredients you can find at home. Here’s her take on a Backyard Mojito!

-2 oz of your fave clear spirit
-2 tablespoon frozen lime-aid or lemonade concentrate (can also sub in a citrus forward sorbet)
-(optional add on, spoonful of frozen berries from the freezer)
-2 springs of foraged mint

Combine everything in a shaker or a jar with the lid on or a hydro flask. Pour through a strainer. Top with your fave la Croix!

Want to help Hey Love staff members? Consider giving a few bucks to help out their staff via their Emergency Relief Fund for the incredible folks who make this year-round summer oasis so fly. Check out their GoFundMe page for more info.
