Join Us in Supporting Street Roots June 10-15th!

June 10, 2019

Join us in supporting Street Roots by giving to their Spring Fund Drive from June 10th-15th and we will thank you with a culinary experience!

Street Roots is a nonprofit creating income opportunities for people experiencing homelessness and poverty by producing a newspaper and other media that are catalysts for individual and social change.

For the past 20 years, Street Roots has operated with the hand-up, not hand-out mentality. As such, their vendors are all small business owners who purchase each paper for a quarter and sell it for a $1.00, keeping the profits. In 2018, they worked with nearly 700 vendors and Portlanders put more than $500,000 in their pockets.

Supporting Street Roots means giving individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty a hand up. It means supporting quality journalism. It means supporting our community.

Check out our thank you gifts below below and give someone a hand up by DONATING to Street Roots today!

“Homelessness is major issue in our city right now.  It’s a complicated, multi-layered crisis. It’s hard to know where to start to help. So we want to throw our support behind the wonderful organizations that are really making an immediate difference in our communities.  If we all do a little something together we can do a lot.”                          ~ Renee Gorham, Toro Bravo Inc Co-owner
