Join us for baby goats + Thursday cider tasting

April 20, 2020

Cheers to connecting!

Let’s connect: Every Thursday at 4pm PT we are hosting a virtual happy hour. Each week we’ll meet and taste with a different cidery around the Pacific Northwest. Take a trip to Vancouver Island, meet baby goats in Oregon and learn more about a family that explores and crafts cider together in Idaho.

We look forward to sharing a glass together from the comfort of our own homes. Literally, from our home to yours.

Sea Cider 4/23

Need a little getaway? This week, our virtual happy hour will visit beautiful British Columbia. Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse, located minutes from Victoria on Vancouver Island is award-winning, crafting artisanal ciders from organic orchards with over 50 varieties of heritage apples.

Kristen, Sea Cider’s founder, a sixth-generation farmer will share their cider story, including the five years of work she did before selling her first bottle. She will lead a guided tasting of their Pippins, Bramble Bubbly and Rumrunner (Canada)/Prohibition (USA). Please register here for this complimentary experience. Order bottles online (in Canada) or use the “where to buy” feature and taste along!

Bauman’s Cider 4/30

Bauman’s is a Century Farm in Gervais, Oregon first homesteaded in 1859. Today, the family farm is home to the orchards that inspired Bauman’s Cider, a beloved local pumpkin patch, farm store and petting zoo.

Christine will share the family farm’s rich history, Bauman’s innovative cider styles and introduce us to irresistible baby goats. The tasting line up includes Strawberry Mojito, Farmer’s Old Fashioned and Peach Bellini. Online ordering is available with free shipping through 5/1 (use the code: NWHappyHour) or via free direct delivery in Portland and Salem area. Look for the Happy Hour pack that includes 2 bottles each of the three featured selections.

This happy hour is offered complimentary. Please register in advance here.

Meriwether Cider 5/7

The story of Meriwether Cider in Boise, Idaho is the story of a family of four– firefighters, nomads and adventurers who found themselves at a cross roads at the same time. Join us in learning how the Leadbetter Family is distantly related to Meriwether Lewis of the famous Lewis and Clark Expedition (inspiring their cidery name!) and dive into their passion for cider. The tasting line up for their virtual happy hour includes Meriwether Foothills Semi-Dry, Hop Shot, Grapefruit Rosemary. Their ciders are available here for to-go pick up from both of their locations, local home delivery, curbside or available for shipping online. Please register to join us for free!
