Celebrity chefs, local brews and more Feb 17- 20; tickets on sale now
RIDGEFIELD, WA. (January 24, 2022) – ilani’s signature beer and food tasting event, BrewFest, returns Feb. 17-20 with a stellar lineup of celebrity chefs. The weekend’s festivities includes live cooking demonstrations from the main stage during the Grand Tasting Events, while guests sample some of the celebrity chefs’ signature culinary creations. Chefs will also be making surprise appearances at select special events, including the Brew Brunches at The Stadium Sports Bar & Grill and the Battle of the Beers: Oregon vs. Washington Dinners. The Chefs
For fans of food and celebrity chefs, ilani’s BrewFest offers a star-studded lineup of chefs from all over the U.S. Chef Deanna Colón is back at ilani not only to demonstrate her cooking talents but to also show the crowd why she is one of the best singing chefs around. Also making another guest appearance at ilani BrewFest are Chef Brian Duffy, Bar Rescue star; Chef Tyler Anderson, cheftestant on Bravo’s “Top Chef” and winner of Food Network’s “Chopped” and “Beat Bobby Flay”; and Chef Kevin Des Chenes, who has appeared on numerous Food Network challenges and morning shows and has cooked for world-famous celebrities, including John Legend and Little Big Town, among others. Food Network and TV personality Chef David Rose will also join the celebrity stage to show off his brand-new cookbook “EGGin’.” Signed copies of his book will be available for purchase at the Grand Tasting events, while supplies last.
Chef Bruce Kalman, “Rising Star Chef” nominee and “Chopped” champion, is ready to prepare favorites from his BBQ joint, Soulbelly. Accompanying him is Chef Joe Sasto, “Chopped” winner and “Top Chef All-Stars” chef; Chef Jonathon Sawyer, restaurant owner and Cleveland’s “Best New Chef” and James Beard Foundation’s “Best Chef” award winner; and Chef Kayla Robison, “Guy’s Grocery Games” winner.
Chef Tregaye Fraser, the first African-American woman to win “Food Network Star” and who has launched several successful food shows including Oprah Winfrey’s Network’s “Tregaye’s Way in the Kitchen,” will have a can’t-miss cooking demonstration.
Wrapping up the celebrity chef lineup (for now) are two local favorites. Portland, Oregon, native and baker extraordinaire Chef Kyra Wright is joining ilani for the first time to show how the sweets from her shop, Dolly Mama’s Cookie, earned her a spot-on Food Network’s “Christmas Cookie Challenge.” Chef Lynnae Oxley-Loup, the owner of Sugar’s Barbecue in Battle Ground, Washington, is taking a quick pitstop on the stage to show her signature dishes. which won her the title from Food Network’s “Chopped” and an appearance on “BBQ Pitmasters.”
