Icons of Food Media Talk Shop on the Four Top

December 3, 2019

Portland, Ore. (December 2, 2019) – Happy holidays! Our gift to you this month is a very special episode of The Four Top, recorded live at Powell’s Books in Portland.

In Episode 67, we hand the mics over to two food-world legends.

Ed Levine is the founder of the groundbreaking culinary web magazine Serious Eats, which is today a leading online resource for all things food and drink-related. Levine is also the creator and host of the Serious Eats podcast, Special Sauce. In 2016, Levine was inducted into the James Beard Foundation’s list of “Who’s Who of Food & Beverage in America.” His recently released memoir is entitled Serious Eater: A Food Lover’s Perilous Quest for Pizza and Redemption.

J. Kenji López-Alt, who wrote the forward to that book, is chief culinary consultant at Serious Eats, and author of the must-read book, The Food Lab: Better Home Cooking through Science.

You won’t want to miss this charming discussion about creating a new space in online culinary media, the state of food journalism today, and more.

The Four Top is presented by OPB for NPR One and is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. Read more about us at thefourtop.org.
