I Love Gamay starts tomorrow + come see us on tour!

May 2, 2019

I Love Gamay is around the corner. Have you reserved your seminar spot?!?

I Love Gamay is our favorite weekend of the year (May 3rd-May 6th, 2019). This event brings together winemakers, wine-lovers, restauranteurs, and Gamay-nerds of all shapes, sizes, and walks of life in a weekend of all out Gamay-zing celebration.

While the main event Gamay Tasting Salon on Sunday and the Sunday School Soirée on Friday are both now sold out, we do have some spots left for Saturday’s Field Trip and for Monday’s panel seminar and technical tasting Between Two Barrels: Why Gamay?

Between Two Barrels: Why Gamay? is an exciting opportunity to learn and taste with our four Gamay expert panelists, each coming from a unique background that they can pull from to deepen the main topic of why Gamay? There will be eight wines tasted during the seminar, including a few special older vintage wines dug up from personal cellars.

For you lovers of older vintage wines, a little birdy tells us that a rare early 1990s Chehalem Gamay will be making an appearance at Monday’s tasting!!!

Not to be missed …

I Love Gamay: Field Trip!!!
Calling all Gamay fans! Let’s hop on a vintage bus and take an adventure to the beautiful Willamette Valley. This wine lovers paradise is practically in Portland’s backyard. In less than an hour we can be right where the grapes grow and the wine is made. Our favorite tour guide extraordinaire will be at the helm: Chevonne Ball of Dirty Radish, who leads exclusive tours in Oregon & France, including Beaujolais. (She’s Gamay-crazy like the rest of us!) Vincent Fritzsche, owner/winemaker of Vincent Wine Company will be chaperone, waxing poetic about all things Gamay. Our chauffeur Sean Kennedy of The Vintage Tour Bus Co. will get us there in style. This is a one of a kind adventure!!!
