I wanted to let you know about Portland’s latest technological venture from Urban Farmer and PDX 3D Printing Lab called CrowdCow. Made up of 99 pieces created from 14 different 3D printers, CrowdCow is an educational, multimedia display that showcases the anatomy of a cow and the different cuts of meat.
Rose Moore, an artist with a degree in game design and a 3D Printing Lab member donated her time over two months to design the CrowdCow using 3D modeling software to virtually sculpt the cow to closely match a specific breed that Urban Farmer had in mind.
“How do we take our food systems to the next level? We don’t just work with ranchers, farmers and guests, but with technologists,” said Matt Christianson, Executive Chef of Urban Farmer.
