There are varying perspectives on what officially starts the summer in Portland. Some think its the Rose Festival, others believe its the 5th of July, when promising weather is bound to begin. Here at Boke Bowl, it is undoubtedly the arrival of our summer classic: the Chilled Ramen Sesame Noodle Salad. We start getting calls about it in May, as everyone wants to know when it will make its debut! We are happy to announce its back on the menu as of today!
The many layers of flavor in this hearty meal are what keeps people coming back for it year after year. It comes with our chilled ramen noodles mixed with greens and a lemon soy vinaigrette. The veggies are corn, cherry tomato, pickled carrots, and Persian cucumbers. The protein (either smoked pork tenderloin or smoked tofu) is topped with a sesame ginger drizzle and a hard boiled tamari pickled egg. Come get it!
Salad season is the best season…
Our summer ‘Seasonal Salad’ is as fresh as it gets: Butter lettuce, cherry tomato, corn, cucumbers, radish, avocado, togarashi pistachios, all tossed in a lemon miso vinaigrette… *chefs kiss*
The “new” normal?
We have been craving some Boke nostalgia with all the craziness this last few years has brought. We are stoked to be serving up again at Pickathon music festival, August 4-7.
Keep your eye out at the restaurant for fan-favorite, Jules, as she is back helping from time to time!
Is it even summer without burgers?
Mark your calendars for August 17-21, Boke Bowl is participating again in Portland Mercury’s Burger Week! It’s a 2-napkin burger, folks.
