Hi friends of Oregon cheese,
Our local cheesemakers need help in getting the word out about our Winter Wedge Oregon cheese tasting kits. Without in-person events this year, we were able to change our fall festival, The Wedge, into a virtual edition that helped our cheesemakers move more than 2,000 lbs of cheese and keep the nonprofit Oregon Cheese Guild afloat. It was such a success that we decided to do it again for the holidays, but this time around tasting kits are not moving as fast as we had hoped. This package gives folks the chance to taste 13 amazing Oregon artisan kinds of cheese and 4 accompaniments (chocolate, crackers, jam, and blueberry-yuzu sparkling water). There’s a ten year-aged Tillamook, a Rogue blue you can’t find in stores, fresh spreadable cheeses from By George and Portland Creamery, and gems from tiny producers that are exclusive to these tasting kits. It’s more than 5 lbs of cheese in a cute logoed tote and a lot of holiday cheer knowing that you are supporting the local food supply. We will come together Dec. 26 on Facebook Live to taste along with the cheesemakers and some special guests. The kits are $110 (for $150 worth of good stuff!) and are available for pick-up Dec. 21 & 22.
