Chef Sarah Pliner debuts a hearty and fiery Claypot Chicken Dinner hosted at Aviary for one night only
PORTLAND, Ore. (January 4, 2018) – On Wednesday, January 17th, Aviary will be hosting a one of a kind Clay Pot Chicken Dinner, a hearty and fiery meal of whole poussin and all the fixings, prepared by Chef Sarah Pliner. The dinner will be $35 per person and feature a braised whole poussin prepared with shao xing (fermented rice wine), brown sugar, szechuan peppercorn, fermented chile bean paste, presented all together in a clay pot with oyster mushrooms, steamed rice, a soy marinated egg, and scallions. The meal kicks off with a crisp and fresh Shaved Lotus Root Salad, with radish, and Brussels sprouts. After the spicy main event, Aviary will offer a refreshing mango ice cream for dessert.
