Harvest is Happening!
The apples are crisp and tart, the cider is sparkling, and the pastries are just perfect. We’ve hit peak autumn goodness, and we want to celebrate – with you!
Join us this Saturday, October 20th for an apple extravaganza! We’ll have over 20 varieties of heirloom, rare and just plain delicious apples to try – including the Rubinette, and apple so good we named our store after it! Little T American Baker will have fresh apple tarts and pastries featuring some of our best varieties and Pastaworks will host a tasting of ciders from around the world.
Come to Providore Fine Foods this Saturday, anytime between 11 am and 3 pm. Whether you are baking, juicing or just snacking – the apple of your dreams is here, waiting to be discovered.
Most of our apples come from Kiyokawa Family Orchards, in Parkdale. A true family operation, the Kiyokawa family has been growing apples on the slopes of Mount Hood for over 100 years.
Don’t forget the oyster bar! Shoot back a few sparklingly fresh northwest oysters with a special apple mignonette at Flying Fish Sustainable Seafood.
Even if you can’t join us Saturday, we have dozens of apples to try every day. Stop in and taste a beautiful, blushing Mountain Rose, heirloom Ashmead’s Kernel or our new favorite Crimson Crisp.
