Growing Gardens Celebrates the Holidays with a Special Dessert Box Featuring Local Bakers and Makers.

Purchase a Holiday Box and celebrate the season all while supporting the nonprofit, boxes go on sale today, November 17th for pick up on December 10th

PORTLAND, OR (November 17th, 2021) – Growing Gardens celebrates the end of a momentous year with a special holiday dessert box, featuring local delectables from local bakers, chefs, coffee roasters, and more. In 2021 Growing Gardens celebrated 25 years working in the Portland community. To cap off the year and celebrate this major milestone, they have put together two special Holiday Boxes, featuring sweets for a good cause, including Double Chocolate Peppermint Crinkle Cookies from Cafe Olli baker Siobhan Speirits, and Maple Cinnamon Nanaimo Crunch Bars from Le Pigeon pastry chef Matthew Ives. These special boxes will feature holiday-themed pastries and treats for you and your loved ones to share this season, and are designed by local illustrator Courtney Knight. Sample treats from some of Portland’s most notable bakers and restaurants, including Le Pigeon, Berlu, and Mama Dut. It’s a simple (and delicious) way to give back. There are a limited number of boxes, so act fast to secure yours.

Today, Wednesday, November 17th, the Growing Gardens Holiday Pastry Box will go on sale, with two options to choose from. The $35 Holiday Box will feature a variety of sweet and savory pastries, including vegan options. The $50 Holiday Box Deluxe will feature pastries, plus coffee, produce, local honey, flowers, and more surprises! After paying our bakers and makers, proceeds will support Growing Gardens’ work in the community, building gardens for schools, correctional facilities, and local families. Boxes go on sale today, November 17th for pick up on Friday, December 10th between 4 and 7 p.m. at the Growing Gardens offices in SE Portland (3114 SE 50th Avenue). Each box will contain a program with information on the local businesses and dessert items.
