Ground Breaker Brewing Releases Mellow Meridian Juicy Pale Ale

March 3, 2021

Ground Breaker Brewing Unveils Latest Release, Mellow Meridian Juicy Pale Ale

(Portland, OR) – A Juicy Pale Ale is the latest release from the 100% gluten-free craft brewery in Portland, Oregon. Ground Breaker Brewing’s Mellow Meridian Juicy Pale Ale clocks in at 4.8% ABV. It’s brewed with rice, millet, buckwheat, and flaked quinoa. A generous double dry hopping of Meridian, Summit and Santiam hops round out the juicy but drinkable ale. The beer is set to roll off the canning line on Wednesday, March 3rd.

“Last year we had a chance to make some beers with hops we had never used before,” said Head Brewer Tyler Kueber. “We really liked using Summit in our Double Hazy release last summer, it seemed like it would pair well with Meridian which is a hop we really like and use a lot.”

Creating a juicy pale ale recipe was an opportunity for the Great American Beer Festival® and World Beer Cup® award winning brewery to try a new ingredients in the beer as well. “Our Head Brewer Tyler made a small batch of beer for a festival a few years ago using flaked quinoa and we really liked the results,” said James Neumeister, Founder and Head of R&D. “We thought a hazy or juicy pale was a great opportunity to use flaked quinoa on a production scale beer.”
Mellow Meridian Juicy Pale Ale will be available in a 16 ounce can package and on draft at the Ground Breaker Gastropub. It will be distributed to Ground Breaker territories in the coming weeks.
