Proceeds to Benefit the Boys & Girl Clubs of Portland Metropolitan Area
PORTLAND, OR, (Dec. 19, 2017) – Grand Central Bowl will be celebrating their 10-year anniversary with a
fundraiser for the Portland Boys and Girls club and a Casino Royale New Year’s Eve Party. The events will
take place at from Dec. 29 – 31 at Grand Central Bowl located on 808 SE Morrison Street.
It’s been 10 years since Grand Central first opened its doors, but the history extends back much more. The
historic building, built in the late 1920’s, was first operated as a produce/retail market and was a retail hub in the
1930’s, playing a major role in economic development of the Central Eastside neighborhood. 80+ years later,
Grand Central Bowl is again at the center of a revitalization of the neighborhood as housing, dining and
business development is creating a new central eastside.
Grand Central will begin the weekend of celebration with a bowling fundraiser for the Boys & Girl Clubs of
Portland Metropolitan Area. Guests can come in and bowl all Friday and Saturday starting at 11:30 a.m. on
Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday. $3 from every game of bowling will be donated directly to the Boys & Girls
Clubs of Portland, who’s mission is to empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to
discover their full potential as caring, engaged, responsible community members.
The celebration continues by bringing in the new year with their Casino Royale NYE Party hosted by LO from
Live 95.5. Doors open at 9 p.m. for 21+ guests with two levels of casino games, bowling, drinks and dancing.
The night will be completed with a complimentary champagne toast to bring in the new year and celebrate 10
years of bowling, games and fun in SE Portland.
