The Waterfront expands culinary offerings with the addition of gourmet burger restaurant and pizzeria
VANCOUVER, Wash. – November 7, 2018 – With the Phase One opening of the 32-acre, $1.5 billion Waterfront Vancouver complete, Gramor Development Inc. announced today that the project will open two new restaurants this coming Spring: Stack 571 Burger & Whiskey Bar and Pizzeria sul Lago. These additional restaurants will offer Vancouver residents and visitors a new variety of dining options in an unbeatable location.
Stack 571 Burger & Whiskey Bar will occupy just over 3,000 square feet on the ground floor of Block 6, officially known as The Rediviva. Stack 571’s menu includes appetizers, salads, sandwiches and, of course, signature burgers featuring fresh, quality ingredients. Whenever possible, Stack 571 uses local, organic, free range and sustainable ingredients including locally farmed produce, Washington poultry and beef, wild Northwest seafood and local artisan bread and microbrews. Stack 571 also features more than 100 local, national and international whiskeys, as well as burger pairings and signature milkshakes.
“We’re thrilled to open our fifth Stack 571 location at The Waterfront in Vancouver,” said Attila Szabo, owner of Stacked 571 Burger & Whiskey Bar. “We opened WildFin American Grill at The Waterfront in September and it was one of one of the most successful openings we have had. Following that positive response, we’re even more excited to bring Stack 571 to the community of Vancouver and expect to see similar success.”
Given the success of Pizzeria sul Lago in Lake Oswego, the team decided to expand and open a second location in Vancouver. Projected to open in the spring of 2019, Pizzeria sul Lago will occupy 3,325 square feet on the ground level of The Murdock office building. The pizzeria will serve Neapolitan style pizzas made with fresh, seasonal and local ingredients. This restaurant will feature an expanded menu, including seasonal entrees, salads and pastas, a full bar and ample outdoor seating.
“Our team is very excited to be opening in such a transformative development as the Vancouver Waterfront,” said Jeff Skeele, chief operating officer at Five Spice LLC, the restaurant’s management company. “We look forward to bringing Vancouver a pizza concept that stays true to Neapolitan influences, but remains fresh and innovative through constant menu changes that capitalize on the many regional and seasonal offerings of the Northwest.”
Restaurants will be a big draw for the 32-acre, $1.5 billion project. WildFin American Grill and Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar are now open; Maryhill Winery is scheduled to open early next year. All dining establishments will feature stunning views of the Columbia River and the city’s Grant Street Pier and Waterfront Park.
“It’s exciting to see the culinary scene at The Waterfront take shape with the addition of these two new restaurants,” said Barry Cain, the president of Gramor Development. “When we set out to create The Waterfront, we envisioned a place where people of all ages could go to enjoy great food and drink in an unbeatable atmosphere, and these new culinary offerings are helping to make that vision a reality.”
