Go-fund-me to help staff

March 19, 2020

Hello,
At the restaurants, we have worked hard over the years to create a nice place to be and make delicious food to eat. One of the goals when opening Navarre in 2002 was to provide good health insurance. It took years to achieve this goal…now at our restaurants, anyone can choose insurance if they work 28 hours or more and we encourage them to take it. we pay part / they pay part.

With the coronavirus, we have had to temporarily lay off most of our employees. We are determined to maintain their health insurance for as long as we can. We are figuring out the logistics of to-go and delivered food with the hope that it can generate enough money to cover the healthcare costs and if we are lucky, rent also.
This new process of to-go/delivery is like opening a new business, it is a bit overwhelming and we imagine we will lose money for awhile. In an abundance of caution and concern for our employee’s health care, we have set up a go fund me to help raise money to supplement their costs and give assistance to anyone that cannot get unemployment.

We are not familiar with asking for help, so please excuse if this is not graceful and especially in a time when we know that there are a lot of needs in the world.
If it is possible, please consider donating:

Hopefully, we can all find our way and help each other out in any way that is possible.
If not our business, please support your local small business in any way that you might be able.
Thank you for considering and for all of your support over the years. We hope to see you and to feed you all the good stuff in the not so distant future.
Take good care.

Sincerely,
John and Giovanna
