ABOUT THE PAIRING DINNER
The resurgence of Scotch (and all whiskies) over the last thirty years has been particularly favorable to two cult classic single malt brands from Scotland’s Speyside region: BenRiach and Glendronach. Despite the fact that both distilleries had survived since the late 1800’s, both found themselves shuttered in the 1990’s with an uncertain path ahead. Fortunately, whisky popularity surged soon after and these two storied producers joined forces under new ownership of the Brown-Forman company, famous for their bourbon’s (Old Forester, Woodford Reserve) and a certain Tennessee Whiskey (Jack Daniel’s). With new guidance, the future looks bright for these two distinctive single malts.
We are excited to invite you to join us for a memorable five-course pairing dinner featuring whisky from both Glendronach and Benriach distilleries. The evening will be hosted by Stewart Buchanan, Global Scotch Ambassador.
Inspired by both distilleries, chef Ben Grossmann will be offering a five-course meal exploring the relationship between the pacific northwest and Scotland. Beyond grey skies, the two regions share rich and diverse landscapes of berries, greens, and seasonal vegetables. Drawing inspiration from both classic Scottish and locally driven new American cuisines, the menu encompasses modern flavors and techniques while celebrating both regions.
