Henry’s Tavern flies into Concourse C offering scratch-made breakfast, lunch and dinner,
plus a curated brew selection and grab-and-go bites
PORTLAND, Ore. – May 28, 2015 – Henry’s Tavern, owned and operated by Restaurants Unlimited, Inc. (RUI), today announced it will open its second Oregon location on June 4 in the Portland International Airport (PDX). The popular American bar and grill enjoys a strong local following from its flagship Pearl District location in the original Henry Weinhard Brewery Complex, and now travelers coming and going through the Rose City can grab the celebrated tavern fare and line-up of local and specialty brews right from Concourse C.
“Guests have always loved Henry’s Tavern for our robust menu, hearty fare and relaxed kick-back attitude enjoyed over a beer – all things ripe for airport travelers, so this was a perfect fit,” said RUI Vice President Marketing, Stacey Donahue. “With Portland known for its prevalent beer and brew culture, we’re bringing the experience right to PDX so travelers can always get a taste of the city as they come and go.”
As with the flagship location, all dishes at Henry’s airport location will be made from scratch, and the menu includes full breakfast, lunch and dinner. In addition, the restaurant will feature a hot and cold case with Grab ‘N’ Go selections for people on the fly. Henry’s breakfast menu includes items like a seasonal frittata, corned beef hash, tavern biscuits and gravy, and fruit and yogurt parfait, while the Grab ‘N’ Go menu offers easy-to-eat sandwiches, wraps and salads such as a smoked turkey BLTA, roasted eggplant wrap and grilled chicken cobb. The diverse all-day menu includes Henry’s signature seasoned ground chuck burgers, artisanal sandwiches, salads and appetizers such as the hand-seasoned waffle fries, mac and cheese burger, Southwest chicken chopped salad and pepper crusted salmon.
In addition to the pub fare, Henry’s at PDX will feature a thirst-quenching selection of 30 local, regional and international beers on tap and in bottles plus a full bar, offering travelers and tasting enthusiasts something to sip on while waiting for flights. The beer menu ranges from pilsners, whites and wheats to brown ales, lagers, stouts and porters, along with seasonal releases, fruit ales and hard ciders.
The 3,300-square foot Henry’s Tavern PDX is located beyond the security gates in Concourse C, next to gate C11. The restaurant design pays homage to the flagship location with exposed brick and modern finishings, and seats 115 guests. Additional features include a frost top drink rail to keep pints cold while bar guests imbibe or take in a sporting match on one of the large flat-screen televisions spread throughout the venue.
The new location marks the fourth in the Henry’s Tavern family, joining existing locations in Seattle and Plano, Texas, along with the flagship operation. Henry’s Tavern PDX is open daily during airport hours, with breakfast served until 10 a.m. and the all-day menu served from 10 a.m. until close.
