Fill Your Pantry Market Event at Oregon City Farmers Market!

November 11, 2021

Oregon City Farmers Market is excited to host one of Portland’s Fill Your Pantry events on Dec 4th!

You might be wondering what exactly Fill Your Pantry is all about. Thanks to a coalition of local food system non-profit organizations, Fill Your Pantry was created as means to support local farms by allowing customers to bulk buy foods such as storage crops, meat, grains, beans and nuts.

By purchasing directly from Oregon’s small and mid-size socially responsible producers, you are helping to expand and improve our local food system!

Check out the link listed below for a list of participating farmers and offered products, plus an easy how to order guide. Ordering opens at 9am on November 1tth and will close on November 28th. Pick up of orders will be between 10-2 on December 4th at our market.

Here’s some extra good news for our EBT and P-EBT customers! SNAP recipients can place their order online and simply choose EBT at check out. Before picking up purchases, stop by the info booth to run your SNAP card for the amount needed AND receive up to a 30.00 match to use towards your bulk purchases!

It’s a great time to stock up and support local growers! Come and meet the producers who grow your food. And don’t forget, if bulk buying isn’t your thing we will have a full market with plenty to purchase!

Thank you for supporting local farmers!

The Fill Your Pantry 2021 online ordering will open at 9 AM on November 11, 2021.

Stock up on dry beans, winter squash, grains, onions, garlic, flours, nuts, honey, root veggies, pasture-raised meats, canned goods, spices and more. By purchasing directly from Oregon’s small and mid-sized socially responsible producers, you are expanding and improving our local food system. Thank you for being part of the solution!

IMPORTANT INFO and TIPS!

FIRST: Head over to https://friendsoffamilyfarmers.localfoodmarketplace.com/Index

1 – To begin shopping online FIRST login (at the top of the page go to SIGN UP! or the little person icon in the green bar). After logging in select the “Sub-Period” for the farmers market where you would like to pick-up your order. Online ordering is by farmers market date / pick-up location. You may order from (and pick up from) multiple farmers markets, but you will need to pay for each order by Sub-Period (i.e. farmers market date / pick-up location).

2 – You need a credit card to pay for orders online.
Please note your card will not be charged until after the pre-ordering period has closed, on November 28th, 2021.

3 – There is a 3% service fee on all transactions. This 3% fee paid by you, our local food system supporters, puts more money in the farmers’ hands! Thank you!

4- Payments for EBT/SNAP orders will be processed on-site at the farmers market info booth at each pick up location.

5 – Pre-ordering secures your BULK orders. Participating farmers will also offer day-of sales, their day-of products may be different from their bulk pre-order selection.

6 – Please BYOW / Bring-Your-Own-Wagon, if you have one, to help carry your bulk purchases to your vehicle!

Fill Your Pantry Week 2021 is brought to you by a coalition of local food system non-profit organizations:

Friends of Family Farmers, Slow Food Portland, Come Thru Market, Oregon Farmers Market Association, OSU Small Farms, Culinary Breeding Network, Cook First and numerous Portland-area farmers markets.

Thank you to New Seasons Market for supporting equitable access for farmers and ranchers and supporting the BIPOC farming community.
