Experiential Dining Platform Connects Diverse Line Up of Chefs with Adventurous Diners
Portland, Ore. (May 22, 2017) – Feastly, the experiential dining platform connecting diners and chefs for pop-up style meals, has launched in Portland. In addition to offering a suite of services such as ticketing and marketing to its community of chefs, Feastly just added another fully equipped space to its network of Portland venues—which already includes Tournant and Cooper’s Hall—located at 912 SE Hawthorne Blvd where chefs can host their events and diners can gather around the table.
“The space represents a creative outlet for chefs and place of discovery for diners,” says Feastly’s Portland Director Julia Raymond. “Feastly chefs can still pick a location of their choosing—a private home, friend’s restaurant, farm, etc.—or they can use our Feastly network of spaces where we offer that extra layer of support and infrastructure so they are able to focus on their food and the dining experience they want create for guests.”
Feastly currently has a network of 40+ Portland-based chefs with diverse backgrounds and cuisines. The Feastly chef has many faces: They’re sous chefs at popular restaurants, seasoned restaurant owners testing out new concepts, home cooks exploring a career change, Portland transplants looking to build an audience for their upcoming project. All chefs are vetted before officially joining the platform, and the Feastly team encourages those with non-traditional backgrounds to apply.
“One of the most exciting things for me is that we’re helping to showcase and provide a platform for cuisines that do not necessarily exist yet at brick & mortar restaurants in town,” adds Raymond. “We have chefs cooking everything from Guamanese to Indonesian BBQ to NE coastal cuisine, and our audience of diners are jumping at the opportunity to get in on the action.” Feastly is currently collaborating with chefs like Clyde Common Executive Chef Carlo Lamagna on his Twisted Filipino pop-up series, Coquine’s Mariah Pisha-Duffly and Pokpok’s Thomas Pisha-Duffly on their new Argentinian BBQ pop-up and Kyikyi, a home cook whose Himalayan Dumplings already have a cult following.
Portland diners can attend Feastly events by visiting Feastly.com. Events range in price and style, including everything from from $25 brunches to $75 5-course meals to private dinners cooked by Feastly chefs. Chefs interested in hosting Feastly events may apply on its website.
