Exciting Changes at Firehouse

October 23, 2019

A New Bar Emerges Inside An Old Favorite

After over ten years of serving the finest wood-fired cuisine in Portland, Firehouse Restaurant has expanded its fare to include a robust bar featuring seven local drafts, a carefully curated craft cocktail program, and an expanded happy hour and dinner menu.  In keeping with the rustic, old-world atmosphere in this historic building, the Firehouse team collaborated with Gervasi Woodworking to design a classic bar constructed from reclaimed wood.  When in season, some cocktail ingredients may be sourced from the back yard garden, such as our Quince Gimlet featuring local Clear Creek Apple Brandy.

The Firehouse kitchen has redesigned their menu to accompany this exciting new addition.  Favorites such as the butcher’s steak and wood-fired pizza are now complemented with a variety of new offerings such as pork belly with morcilla sausage (pictured), moules frites, and seasonal fresh fish.  If you’re feeling adventurous, try the three or five-course prix fixe dinner. Now open 4pm-10pm, join us for a cocktail, pizza, snack, or dessert.

Happy hour lasts until 6pm and dinner is offered until 10pm nightly.  Reservations are welcome for a seat in the dining room. The bar is designed with drop in traffic in mind or as a place to grab a drink while waiting for a table.
