Mississippi-Area Craft Brewery Welcomes Spring With Its Seasonal Crisp Lager
PORTLAND, Ore. (April 6, 2015) – Ecliptic Brewing, a craft brewery and restaurant in Portland’s Mississippi neighborhood, has released its Helix Hoppy Lager on-tap. The beer will be available in bottles on April 6.
“The Helix Hoppy Lager is a perfect spring brew,” said John Harris, Ecliptic owner and head brewmaster. “Just in time for the wonderfully unpredictable Northwest spring, we’re excited to share this refreshing beer – both on-tap and in-bottle.”
About Helix Hoppy Lager
The newest addition to Ecliptic’s line of beers is named after the Helix Nebula, a large planetary nebula and sun-like star (also known as “The Eye of God”) located in the constellation Aquarius. Helix is a crisp and refreshing golden lager, dry hopped with Citra and Jarrylo hops for extra citrus, spice flavor and aroma.

About Ecliptic Brewing
Ecliptic Brewing is a venture from John Harris, an Oregon beer icon whose background is steeped in the state’s rich craft brewing history. The name Ecliptic unites Harris’ two passions: brewing and astronomy, and as such, the brewery celebrates the Earth’s yearly journey around the sun through both its beer and restaurant menus. Executive chef Michael Molitor rotates his seasonally inspired menu every six weeks in accordance with the old world calendar. Harris’ signature beers include Spica Pilsner, Procyon Pale Ale, Phobos Extra Red Ale and Orbiter IPA. In 2014, Ecliptic Brewing was voted best brewpub by Northwest Brewing News readers, and the brewery’s Filament Winter IPA was named favorited winter ale by Oregon Beer Growler.
