Free Salt & Straw Ice Cream at PDX
Salt & Straw has partnered with Portland International Airport, in conjunction with Feast Portland, to encapsulate the experience of flying into Portland, through ice cream. This PDX’s Rainwater & Spruce Tips Ice Cream captures that epic feeling of flying into the beloved PDX. Salt & Straw will pop up at Portland International Airport (Concourse D in front of Tender Loving Empire) Wednesday, Sept. 13, 11am – 2pm, offering free samples. Single serve cups will also available for purchase at PDX and Salt & Straw Portland scoop shops Sept. 13-17.
Tyler Malek & Gramercy Tavern’s Michael Anthony Serve Up Apple Pie – Ice Cream!
James Beard Award Winning chef Michael Anthony of Gramercy Tavern, part of Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, has partnered with Tyler Malek to create a flavor as homey as, well….apple pie. To celebrate the collaboration and the community spirit that Portland, Salt & Straw and Feast are all known for, the duo will be scooping up the Gramercy Tavern’s Apple Pie Cheddar ice cream together at Salt & Straw’s NW 23rd scoop shop on Sat., Sept. 16. From 2 – 3 pm.

Wiz Bang Bar Goes To The Greek!
Souvla, San Francisco’s beloved Greek fine-casual restaurant will be popping up at Salt & Straw’s Wiz Bang Bar for a one day only takeover, featuring favorites from Souvla and a one day only “Chocolava” Magic Shell served on top of creamy Greek frozen yogurt, Saturday, Sept. 16, 12pm – 11pm.
Salt & Straw’s soft serve dessert bar has debuted mini sundae creations, and sundaes in a cone this September! In addition to their rotating soft serve and magic shells, with flavors like Vanilla Custard, Chocolate Fudge, Roasted Strawberry Coconut (vegan flavor), plus Coava Cold Brew and Arbequina Olive Oil (Salt & Straw classic flavors!). Try these new bites at the Pine Street Market, daily 12 – 11pm.

- Rocky Road Magic Cone, with homemade brownie bites in a black charcoal cocoa waffle cone. Our house-made black cocoa charcoal waffle cone, with a dollop of marshmallow fluff, a swirl of Chocolate Fudge soft serve, topped with a chocolate magic shell. Finished off with homemade brownie bites and party nuts.

Get In On The Harvest Action
It’s nearly harvest season in the wine world! Kate Norris and Tom Monroe would love to have you stop by SE Wine Collective and go beyond a front row seat to jump into the action and work harvest! Their urban winery and wine bar is home to 11 wineries making 20 varietals and their own Chef Althea Grey Potter creating wonderful dishes. Kate Norris and Tom Monroe were featured as 40 under 40 by Wine Enthusiast for changing the national wine scene promoting unique varietals and being urban winery pioneers. A great spot for a flight, glass or bottle! They’ll offer a special Feast Flight with a flight of 3 wines and special dish just for Feast – free for Feast badge holders.

Top Chef Xurro September Collaboration
Portland’s first xurreria welcomes chef Carlo Lamagna of the soon to come Magna into the kitchen at 180 this September for a Filipino spin on the xurro, benefitting Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. Carlo has created a tropical delight, a Coconut Pandan Custard Stuffed Xurro garnished with toasted coconut and sesame.

At chef/owner Chef Sarah Pliner’s Aviary, each dish is incredibly unique with French technique and Eastern flavors utilizing unusual ingredients, sauces, combinations and flavors. A great option for dinner, or happy hour. Must try: chef Sarah’s signature Crispy Pig Ear, with coconut rice, chinese sausage, avocado. Visit for happy hour, a great way to taste chef Sarah’s dishes, and enjoy drink specials, 5 – 7pm Monday through Friday.

Experience James Beard Award Winning Chef Vitaly Paley’s cuisine for a deal during Imperial’s daily happy hour, Monday – Friday 2pm to 6pm, Weekends 3pm to 6pm and during late night Sunday – Thursday 10pm to 11pm, Friday & Saturday 11pm to 12am. Happy hour favorites include the Fried Chicken, $5 On-Tap Vieux Carré, and Chicken Liver Paté.

Rue is a seasonal casual Paris-inspired bistro with vegetable dishes that will knock your socks off and incredible cocktails from Jon Lewis. Stop in to try the Charred Beets & Milk from new Chef de Cuisine Brandon Cunningham. Visit Rue for happy hour specials on beer, wine and a house cocktail, and dishes including The Jersey Burger, Tuesday – Thursday 5 – 6pm; and then late night from 9 – 11pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 4-6pm; and then 9-11pm.

Experience James Beard Award Winning Chef Vitaly Paley’s take on NY-style pizza and killer cocktails at his newest venture right in the heart of the Feast action at the Hotel Lucia. The Crown has a 3rd generation pizzaiolo from Naples at the helm, and is open daily from lunch to late night – plus features a great late night happy hour.
