Dinercade Opens at The Original Dinerant

February 27, 2019

Now Open, Dinercade Brings a Lively Gathering Place to Downtown Portland’s Business District

(PORTLAND, OR; February 26, 2019)— The Original Dinerant announces the opening of The Dinercade on the mezzanine level of The Original—Portland, Oregon’s downtown destination renewing the spirit of diners and supper clubs from the 1950s and 60s as featured on Food Network’s Diner’s Drive-Ins and Dives (300 SW 6th Ave). Now open overlooking downtown Portland’s business district, The Dinercade—a diner meets arcade—features a mix of new and retro video arcade games alongside a craft cocktail, beer and wine lounge. Enjoy hand-crafted libations, local micro brews and some of the valley’s best wines while bonding over Pac Man scores in a lively setting.

“We can’t wait for people to experience The Dinercade” says The Original General Manager Josue Moreno, “we think of it as an even more playful extension of The Original: the ultimate balance between an elevated experience and retro fun.”

Dinercade offers light snacks like house-made trail mix and caramel corn; while hungrier gamers can visit The Original downstairs for heartier fare. Enjoy cocktails like the Princess Peach: bourbon, peche de vigne, iced tea, peychaud’s bitters; Pacman Punch: Bacardi superior, dark rum, pineapple, orange, lime; and Hadouken: gin, crème de violette, luxardo maraschino liqueur, elderflower liqueuer, lemon; alongside a selection of Tall Boys like Modern Times ‘Fruitlands’ Gose; or 12 oz cans such as Level ‘Game on!’ IPA and Crux Pilsner. Guests are welcome to order from the The Original bar should they be seeking something The Dinercade doesn’t offer. Look for DJ themed Fridays; throw-back 80’s and disco-themed nights, offering a downtown destination blending retro games and music with refined service.

Dinercade is open seven nights a week with Happy Hour daily from 4pm – 6pm. Hours are as follows: Monday – Thursday 6:30am – 10pm; Friday 6:30am – 12:00am; Saturday 7:30am – 12am; and Sunday 7:30am – 10pm. For more information, please call 503-546-2666 or visit www.originaldinerant.com.
